Welcome To the Dark Ages was a three day situation in Liverpool created by The JAMs following the end of a 23-year moratorium on working together or discussing anything beginning with the letter ‘K’.
During Welcome To the Dark Ages:
- 400 volunteers took part in the proceedings
- The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu released a book titled 2023: A Trilogy and an accompanying 23-minute film
- a hearing was held on the question of ‘WHY DID THE K FOUNDATION BURN A MILLION QUID?’
- MUMUFICATION and plans to build the Peoples Pyramid were announced at the Rites of Mu featuring Jarvis Cocker
- The JAMs burnt their koffins
- Badger Kull played their first and last one song one note gig
- dead perch merch were founded as official merchandise operatives to The JAMs

There will be no hierarchy as to what the screen print is on: a throwaway paper cup will be honoured as highly as first edition poster and vice versa
