Our dad was an old hippie at heart. He lived in Glasgow his whole life with a few adventures along the way. He loved nature, art, science fiction, music and was a lifelong Hawkwind fan. He found pleasure in the abstract aspects of life and expressed this through his drawing and painting. He found inspiration on his long walks through the woods and fields, usually with our dog and a golden virginia roll-up. In later life, he withdrew from society and us, struggling mentally and eventually physically. In the good times, we had a laugh and he taught us to love the things he loved, and we still do.
