Carmel had an adventurous spirit, and loved to travel and experience all that the world had to offer. She was well principled, intelligent, fiery and passionate – the perfect ingredients for her activism in later years. Carmel was forever learning – she would always have something new to tell you about, she was never boring! As a young woman she attended art school, and her creativity continued throughout her life. Her (sometimes) quirky beliefs and ‘Carmelisms’ all added to her charm.

Mother, sister, friend, but most of all a colourful soul that will continue to brighten the lives of those whose memories she lives in.
