Oldham born, Drew spend his childhood working on the farm at the bottom of the crescent; going with his Dad to watch Oldham Athletic and cycling to record stores in Manchester.
His curiosity for I.T. may have developed after winning a ZX Spectrum in a magazine competition. His passion for media followed him through life. He had an eye for the absurd as he documented entertainers such as Frank Sidebottom and the KLF.
At University, he worked in the Students’ Union and on the student Radio, ‘Ramair’.
He was a true romantic. Drew would be in his happy place when planning trips and hanging the itinerary pretty much around visiting castles and trains.
He was known for his determination; pernickety attention to detail and jovial attitude. He really was one of life’s kindest people.
Drew was an avid cyclist. He could devour a buffet in one breath. He was an incredibly devoted Dad and Husband- leaving a six-foot-six-shaped hole in the lives of many.
