My Brother.

Luke was born March 2nd 1980 the final instalment to our Mothers trilogy and we would be pretty much inseparable growing up. We would do everything together. Jamie, Claire and Luke in eighties Bournemouth.

Luke was a really happy kid, fun and mischief bursting from him, chaos with a cheeky grin, fearlessly inquisitive and anything but shy. We would spend all summer at the beach and play in our garden after till dark, ducking inside to watch Airwolf, or top of the pops, or Manimal or whatever mad 80’s TV then back outside for as long as we could. We had fun as kids together saw all the great 80s movies at the odeon, long ass days out on our bikes, the three of us having a laugh.

We got older, I found music and art, hip-hop and He quickly followed. He loved hip hop, cutting and scratching especially so. As soon as he had his own money, he bought technics 1210s and really got into becoming a top notch scratch DJ. Safe to say you mastered it bruv. I was blown away how good he was when he was at the decks, as was everyone who watched him cutting and scratching like a demon. He loved it, always buzzing to play and show off how damn good he was.

The 90s were fun for both of us and we both loved the rave scene, it was fun like Him, a happy buzz, lots of smiley faces and it wasn’t taking life at all seriously. He was bound to be a raver and he became a damn good rave and dnb dj. Life was meant to be fun, and He made sure his had its fair share. He buzzed off seeing people happy and had time for everyone and everyone loved him for it. Luke was a huge burning fire of love and happiness. The brightest fires burn quickest, His flame burnt out far too soon for all that loved him October 17, 2010.

He left us all with a lot of happy memories. I want his soul to remembered, it was too beautiful to allow time to render it forgotten. It’s taken a while to find something fitting and lasting to have Lukes’s life and his Love of it remembered. We would crack up watching KLF on top of the pops, he loved the mad weird fun, and the tunes were bangers. KLF was one of the last records he span and cut up. Mu mu fication would make him laugh, he would be down with it. His beautiful soul is now part of something unique, cool, and out there, that suits Luke perfectly.

I like to think of him now, eternally happy cutting and scratching big smile on his face doing what he loves forever. He left a legacy, two lovely children Owen and Millie who he loved with all his heart.

We love you, Luke.

Jamie.
