Mike was a big man with a big character, red hair and the disposition to match.  Never perfect, never dull, always curious, a lover of good design, good company, good food, and any wine.  Smooth voiced crooner, traveller of the world, player of cribbage, canasta, guitar and double bass.  Hands that made furniture, candles, chickpea curries, ale, sourdough and labneh.

Missed by wife Gilly, daughters Kazu and Naomi, and grandchildren Nathan and Miya.
